MX101 Increases focus on Safety

MX101 is pleased to announce they are now the exclusive distributor for HatsOff TM in Canada.Whether youre riding a motorcycle or mountain bike, driving a go-kart or race car, sports which involve speed or competition are inherently dangerous. Injurys can and do happen. As safety equipment continues to evolve, education and innovative products like the HatsOff TM device provide a key ingredient to reducing the risk.

HatsOff TM is the brainchild of an American inventor, John Deagan, who was himself a victim of a road crash in the US some years ago. The rescuers who attended his accident removed his helmet via the normal procedures and in so doing nearly ruined his life. John realized in the seven seconds it took to remove his helmet, there had to be a better way and the Hats Off concept was born.

He has since devoted his life to getting the HatsOffTM device into as many helmets as possible, knowing full well that the helmet is your best friend in a crash, it can also be your worst enemy when it comes to removing it.Modern quality helmets are snug fitting and engineered to offer superb protection. Removing them can require significant effort and stress to the victim. In instances where the victim is unconscious or may have damage to the cervical spine, it is extremely important that the helmet is removed correctly.

The Hats Off device provides a inexpensive method for trained rescuers in upper spine immobilization to remove a helmet. MX101 will be educating St Johns Ambulance, and Canadian emergency response teams on the HatsOff TM device and how to tell if a helmet is equipped with HatsOff TM. HatsOff TM is mandatory for the following organizations:- AMA Supercross and Outdoor National Motocross Series- Indy Racing League IRL All Drivers- The MX101 Team riders will all be equipped with the HatsOff TM.
